LIDA's Giving Gala will be honoring beloved midwife and LIDA supporter, Christina Kocis, CNM, DNP. As a true pioneer for Midwifery, women, and doulas, she has always gone the extra mile for her patients. Christina has been providing care for Long Island families with Stony Brook Midwifery since 1998 and has been its Division Director since 2006. She has been an incredible force, spoken at LIDA meetings, and ensured Stony Brook Hospital was always a Doula-friendly place. Christina was pivotal in making Stonybrook Health what it is today. We are grateful for her support over the years and hope you will join us in celebrating all she has accomplished throughout her career. 

All proceeds of the gala will be going directly towards LIDA's Community Support Fund, a fund that provides financial assistance for families to receive prenatal, birth, postpartum, &/or lactation support.
