LIDA is Legal: Cheers to 21 Years!
We are thrilled to celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the Long Island Doula Association at our annual fundraising gala on November 12, 2026, at The Hamlet in Commack. This year, as we are Honoring Our Past, Present & Future, we will recognize three special honorees—Mary Kahrs, CEO of Childbearing Family Alliance; Dr. Scott Siegel, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon; and Dr. Heather Hines, Founder of One Love Midwifery, whose dedication, leadership, and vision have made a lasting impact on LIDA and the birth community. We are also honored to welcome Vanessa B. Streeter, CEO of the Health and Welfare Council of Long Island, as our distinguished guest speaker as we come together to celebrate 21 years of community, advocacy, and growth.
This milestone celebration will bring together birth professionals, healthcare leaders, community partners, and supporters while raising critical funds to ensure LIDA can continue providing accessible support…
