About the Event
This year’s event holds special significance, as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Long Island Doula Association. In honor of this incredible milestone, we will be recognizing our nine amazing founding members, Helen Dresner, Danielle Joseph-McKay, Kathy Koncelik, Jenn McMenimen Call, Tina Atanasio, Caryn Burk, Jennifer Cardinale, Debbie Rotunno, and Eva Sommese, whose vision and dedication laid the foundation for the thriving community we have today.
The Long Island Doula Association, Inc. (LIDA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting pregnant women, parents, and families, and professionals on Long Island. To further LIDAs mission, a Community Support Fund (CSF) was formed. This fund allows us to assist families experiencing a hardship by providing doula support, childbirth education, and/or lactation support. Through our CSF we provide paid professional supportive and educational services at little or no cost to local families who qualify. 100% of the proceeds of the Gala go…
